Facilities

The clubhouse was built 1879, and remains a time-capsule of British rowing filled with commemorative blades, trophies, portraits, prints and other rowing memorabilia. The main hall can seat up to 120 people & the venue as a whole can accommodate 200 for dancing. There is also the newly built Gymnasium, an excellent light open space that can be used for a variety of other purposes such as conferences & sports classes.

We have an experienced catering and party management team who can organise your event effectively and efficiently. Behind the scenes they have access to modern and fully equipped kitchens. The club also has a bar with a wide range of wines, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic drinks, licensed at weekends until midnight.

Wireless broadband and a range of audio/visual equipment are available for hire on request. For the week before the Varsity Boat Race the Club becomes the media centre for the event.

Standing on our veranda you overlook the beautiful stretch of river between Putney and Hammersmith Bridges.

Thames R.C. is located on Putney embankment, a short walk from Putney Bridge underground station or the Putney mainline station, 20 minutes from Waterloo, with up to 10 trains an hour.
