We are sorry to report the death, after a short illness, of Gordon Dear earlier today.

As many of you will know, Gordon, who won the Wyfold Cup at Henley in 1955,  was Captain in 1967 and was a Vice President of the Club. He was also President of the Skiff Club and of the Skiff Racing Association, as well as a member of Remenham Club and Dittons Skiff and Punting Club, amongst others.

He was a regular attendee at TRC events (most recently he attended the 150th Anniversary Dinner in December) and at many of the local regattas.
