Thames Rowing Club today announces the departure of Head Coach Lubomir Kisiov.

Lubo's departure is for personal reasons. Will Pressley, Captain of Thames Rowing Club, said, "Thames Rowing Club is very grateful to Lubo for his efforts over the past two years. He led the club to Gold-medal success at the 2008 National Championships and helped establish a tremendous commitment and work-ethic amongst the squads. We wish him all the best for the future."

An interim coaching structure is in place to take the club through the summer racing season. Al Heathcote, Beijing Silver medallist, and Chris George will oversee the men, while Elise Laverick, Athens and Beijing Bronze medallist, joins Merv Lee in coaching the women.

Thames Rowing Club will seek to appoint a new Head Coach for the start of the 2009/2010 season.
