Thames has begun the new season with excellent results in the Pairs Head including four pennant wins: Richard Burdett and Bryan Hoffman dead-heated with Tideway Scullers for the Elite Pairs win, Tony Lester and Nick Heathcote won Intermediate 1 Pairs and Alan Bowling and Adam Wise took the honours in the Intermediate 2 Pairs.  Last but not least, Pauline Rayner and Jackie Darling won the Veteran Women's Double Sculls.  Several other crews also placed high in their divisions.

This was the best set of results in many years and shows real promise from the men. No crews were entered from the women's squad, so they will need to wait until the Fours Head to show that they can match the success of the men.
