Thames was again the fastest women’s club coxed four at Fours Head, taking home the Band 1 pennant in the 2019 race despite a significant clash around Barnes Bridge.

The Band 1 crew was the fastest club W4+ and the third-fastest W4+ overall, behind Oxford and Cambridge. Our second W4+ was the third-fastest club W4+ and the sixth-fastest W4+ overall.

There were a number of other strong performances from Thames with third places for one of our two Band 1 4+s and our Band 2 4x. The Band 1 4x, one of the Band 1 4-s, and the Band 2 W4x were all fifth in their categories.

All the other Thames crews racing finished in the top eight in their categories, showing good strength in depth and giving us plenty to build on for the rest of the season.
